Yes... I have a Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced. It is really a quality firearm. If have never had any issues with it through 800 rounds. No FTF's and it has always gone bang. I think it is as accurate as this shooter will ever be. Plus it has classic lines and is easy to maintain. The only draw back is it only holds 8+1. It is heavy, but I love the thing anyway.

I can't count how many times I try measured the hole's the trouble I'm having is finding the fly after I shoot em. I think a may have to backup a bit say maybe 30 - 40 yards I think after I hit it the wind from the bullet is blowing the fly away cause it's like it disappears.

That R1 is amazing. I need one.

I had a student that was shooting an R1, and was 3 inches below the bullseye, and was thinking it was the gun. I had never shot one, but wanted one, and shot 3 shot in a quarter size group within the size of a quarter. I turned to him and said.."IT'S NOT THE GUN DUDE!!!"

The R1 is truly just as accurate as the XDm .45 APC 5.25" barrel competition model I have. It's fit and finish are really outstanding and match or exceed many 1911's costing well over $1200. Anyone in the market for a 1911, would do well to consider the Remington R1 Enhanced.

Rather than invest in the Ink, couldn't I wear dual shoulder holsters with two 1911's actually in them rather than the art? I like the ink, but I'd rather have the two 1911's...

If he had the money for that kind of ink, he probably has the 1911s, too.

Yuck! I wouldn't lick my gun nor get ink to prove my "love". It'd be like getting a tat for a girlfriend you no longer have!
