Would you vote for a guy who doesn't even own a gun?

I don't care about Bush's rating, although it does not surprise me.

But you can't be called upon to defend when it matters what you do not believe in your soul.

And I don't hold it against Carly when her man owns 6. Nothing wrong for a woman to be both a warrior and a damsel in distress at the same time.

Ok, I still like Rand Paul, Cruz, Carson and Trump is growing on me. I don't like Jeb, although I know Bush Sr. and W both own firearms. His believe that Common Core is OK is utterly astounding to me. From your list above, Christie stands out as someone that used to be anti-gun, but is coming around. Rand Paul has responded to the question of gun ownership, by saying "None of your damn business", but he has been seen often at gun ranges shooting in Kentucky. I will cut Ben Carson some slack, as a doctor that is a strong believer in the Constitution.

But if the NRA gives them an 'A+, A or A-, I see no issue with them.

I agree with your comment about the NRA grades. A- or up.

I'm not sure about Ben Carson, I hope the topic is brought up next week during the CNN debate. I like Carson, but I'm not sure he's actually presidential material. Whatever the outcome, I hope to see Carson in a high ranking office after the 2016 election. I feel we've had enough Bush's in the White House, I'm not ready for another one, particularly Jeb.

I don't care for Rand Paul as much as I like other contenders, however it has nothing to do with his 2nd amendment reply. I agree with his answer 100%. If I was asked the question, I'd give the same answer to most people. There's just so many people who have no business knowing what I might own.

So far with about 5 months to go and taking most domestic and foreign issues into consideration, I like Cruz, Carson, Fiorina and Trump.

I like something about each of them, and under normal circumstances each would be better than any dem.

However, we don't live in normal circumstances. I am not convinced anyone can save the country, but if it can be saved, Cruz is the only one who stands a chance.

He is a fighter (not just willing to fight ), he is a true believer, and he is the smartest guy in any room he is standing in.

If not Cruz, then it really doesn't matter that much, except for one thing - if not Cruz then the republican party needs to burn to the ground and we start again with a new second party, not a third party.

In that case, Trump. Not because he can lead the rise of a new second party, but because he can lead the destruction of the old.

I'd vote for one of these guys in a heartbeat, if they would just admit that they're wrong about global warming being a hoax....that really sticks in my craw! Now I have a harder time deciding who I'd support.

Santorum came right out and denied it. That guy's not living in the real world it seems. From what I've seen on the others, it varies, but I expect they'll follow the party line. Hopefully not and I will have to monitor their public stance on the issue.

Other than "one of these guys" so far is Hillary, Sanders, Mallory, and Biden. They comprise the "kiss of the last of your liberty good bye forever" vote.

I'm thinking it's going to be Trump/Cruz in 2016. The two of them have been very buddy buddy and Cruz has defended Trump after the Fox News debacle. I think Cruz sees the writing on the wall and is positioning himself for the VP spot.

I'm fine with Cruz/Trump or he other way around. I'm also hopeful to see Carson and Fiorino placed I the admin, I feel both would add to a longtime Republican government.

Haha probably a good choice Mike.

I've only kept a light interest in most of this so far... I really need to get on doing some research
He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

My earlier picks were a bit too quick to the draw. I'm still not sure who I'd vote for other than its going to a Republican. Regardless of outcome, I would like to see at least two of the "outsiders" get a place in the next Executive Branch White House or not.

The CNN debate sure didn't do much other than to decide who I don't want on the ticket.
