Somethings up with that gun; doesn't look "real"; no ejected casings that I could see. (I watched w/o sound (at work), so maybe that was mentioned)

What was the lever on the rear of the slide supposed to be? A safety?
I'm going with airsoft.
ETA: Yeah, after watching with sound, it's an airgun. I'd hate to be his neighbors if he tried it with the real deal. He seems dumb enough to do it on a dare.
