The story doesn't say their guns are being grabbed just that they can't have a CCW until the case is further adjudicated. Keep in mind that the story is on the huff and puff and if it were an actual gun grab they'd be popping champagne corks in the story, complete with sound effects. As it is you can see the anti-gun spin they gave it in the first sentence.
