I don't carry yet because I haven't gotten my license but I will soon as I do. I know you say you never stop between work and home but I would rather be prepared. You never know when an accident or traffic jam or construction will put you in a potential position where you may need it. A nice gesture to help a little old lady on your way home could easily lead to something. For the few seconds to arm yourself and vice versa why take the chance. Just my $.02
