Here are the numbers as I see then.
Each party sits on about 43% of the overall vote that votes party line no matter what.
3-5 % vote otherwise no matter what.
That leaves the winner is who gets most of the remaining 9-11% who don't know what they believe and can be persuaded.
I have been asked before when did I know who I would vote for in the general election. My answer is always the same, 1972.
In 2012 Romney got 4% and Obama got 8% of those who don't know what they believe.
With Bernie supporters as angry as they are, Hillary is likely losing some of the support of dems. She will pick up a few in the middle and end about where Romney was at 45-47%
Trump is bringing tens of thousands who haven't voted in decades. If you add to that the middle voters he will get he will like be around 47-50%
So the election will come down to how many republicans go the never Trump route. So if you are in that camp and let Hillary win, like I said earlier, don't complain when you lose your rights, and most certainly don't come complaining to me.
