Well, now that the NRA has endorsed Trump, and now that Trump has reversed his position on some key elements of the NRA's stance on gun control, it goes to show that you can't trust Trump on anything he says. Look at his history in the construction business, where he agreed to preserve parts of an old historic building before tearing it down, and he completely destroyed those parts.

I've heard too much about Trump to consider him a viable and will not vote for him. Instead, I'll vote for Gary Johnson. I don't agree with all his points, but at least he's honest and supports gun rights. Polls show that he is slowly raising in popularity and there's potential for a completely different outcome this November. Most likely, I'll still vote Republican for State and US representation, however.

I could support some of what Hillary / Trump are stating as "reasonable" restrictions, but in past performance of the FBI and our current laws, what they're likely to propose won't make any difference and only hurt good folks.

I'd recommend increased security in soft zones, and more supportive laws for those the FBI taps as potential terrorists. Additionally, I'd propose we allow for conceal carry full reciprocity across the land, no gun free zones, increased training requirements for new CC requests, proof of annual CC refresher training, and promote messaging that changes social behavior towards looking out for your neighbor or relatives, and vigilance (not vigilante).
