Back in the 80's a friend of mine(at the time he was a CA..CHP) and I were talking about this very subject. His comment was that the US was crazy if we think that the only people coming over the US/Mexico border were Mexicans. There are people coming from many countries illegally just to enter the US, through this open door section of the US. Soon after that he retired from the CHP and went to work for the US Border Patrol. He stated that he could not just sit by and watch the US be infiltrated by a large host of foreign entities. Neil, was was born in the Philippines and served in the US Armed Forces in Vietnam.
