That's one of the reason's I love my HK USP 40, other than not having the grip safety, its controls are 1911. Just like the 1911, it can be carried cocked & locked as a single action pistol, which is how I use it. The first semi-auto handgun I ever held was a 1911 and the USP is the closest I've found to a pistol that isn't a 1911 being a 1911. I've been thinking of getting one but for now that's on hold as other things take priority.
