Generic scope mounts for the Mosin work in a similar fashion to the ones for a M1903 or KAR98K. A buddy of mine has the following one on his Mosin:

No that's not his rifle. He has a polymer Monte Carlo style stock on his, which gives it more of the traditional hunting rifle look.
