I'm an old and valued Glockster, however if I was looking for a .45 I wouldn't think twice about buying a 1911. If my opinion is only valued to myself, the Springfield would be one of the first I'd look at buying. When the Glock 21 first came out I bought one and sold it about 90 days later. Not that it didn't shoot well but compared to a 1911....well there isn't any comparison.
