I've been going back and forth about that as well... I was thinking if I adjust my clothing a little more I could carry my 3.8" XDm 9mm and that would be great. But my XDs is pretty comfortable and so much slimmer... I usually have 2 extra mags available with me... But still 13 rounds at the ready seems more comforting.
Overall, I still feel the XDs would get me out of any trouble. So I haven't felt the need to switch. It's what I've trained with so I know it better for now.
