I don't think 6 power is really enough for 600-800 yards. On an AR15 a 6 power scope is plenty, but not with a .308 or 7.62x54R. IMHO. Can this scope deal with the constant bolt recoil of the heavier round on a semi-automatic? I've found MANY sub $300 scopes cannot deal with the beating a semi-auto dishes out. It might be an interesting scope for a say Ruger GunSight scout rifle (magazine fed, .308, 16" barrel bolt gun).
