I'm not sure why, but I was thinking about this thread today.
What about the law enforcement implications? Say your hunk of plastic prints and the cops show up for a "man with a gun" call. How well is that going to sit with them?
Along the same lines, say you get pulled over. After running your plate, they are usually notified if you have a valid CCL. Without said notification, they approach your car. While reaching for your wallet the officer notices the plastic grip on your hip. Next thing you know you are face down on the pavement being cuffed.
Bad news all the way around.
