one thing i tell people is that YES these events are tragic but when someone tries to tell me they happen to often i have to reply with the numbers. we have a huge populace and we should consider ourselves lucky these things don't happen once a week if not more. i feel for the victims and their families but when people start blaming firearms i have to take a firm stance on the issue. if it wasn't a gun it would have been some other method of violence.

like what RJD said, it doesnt help that these people know they will get no fight when they pick these gun free zones as targets. its common sense. the things most politicians seem to lack.
