Ok, I have been thinking after the range Thursday, I might want to get another CC firearm. I currently carry a FNS9C (12+1) for winter carry and a Ruger LC9S (7+1) for summer carry. I prefer manual safeties, I blame it on the 1911's of my youth. I am considering a Springfield XDe (10+1) SA/DA option as a second summer carry gun and a winter carry when I need smaller. I though about the Sig365, but it is only DA, which I didn't think was a great shooter, but it might just be the grip. Comments? suggestions? As an added bonus, the XDe has a 3 magazines for free bonus till the end of June.

OK, I have made the purchase. I have all of 45 rounds through it, and am liking it a lot. Easy to stay on target not snappy at all with 147 gr JHP or 124 gr JHP. Great sights. It's a carry gun, and I am adding it to my rotation. (8+1, or 9+1) gives it a huge edge of a Glock 43. Seems more accurate than me. So many ways to carry it also. Cocked and locked or Double action. After I have 300 rounds through it I will add more comments.

Did it live up to its expectations? I have looked at them several times but I just cant get my mind to pull the $$$ trigger. Yeah they arn't that much but I like the FN's better.

I like the FNS9c a lot. But it is larger. It is also has more rounds (12+1), with a back up magazine being 17rds. It's my winter carry. The problem is it prints too much in summer (cause I am old and fat). But in winter it fine.

I like the Ruger LC9s for summer carry, but I wanted something with a few more rounds.

I do like the XDe (9mm) as an in between gun. Plus I like the DA/SA trigger a lot. I am still getting used to it. It is worthy as a carry gun. I find it very accurate, and not snappy. The only down side is it is a little heavier. I like I can carry it hot and feel safe with the double action, even without the safety on. Of course I could carry it cocked and locked too, but I prefer the DA method. I did find it a little more pricy. But I am worth it. So now I have 3 carry guns. I think all are quality reliable weapons.

Its good to hear that about it. I have seen it go on sale here locally many times and I just keep passing it up. when you are a bigger guy, this has to be taken into consideration when carrying. I know because, I myself, well I am not a small guy either. That was one of the reason I bought the LCP380. I also bought the G42 and G43. I like my Steyer but not for EDC. I do have my G23, G27 and my G30 which are heavy and concealable. For work I almost always wear a pull over golf vest. A couple of my staff always make fun of it since I wear it even when it is close to 100 but my bookkeeper knows the truth. She and I are to only two I allow to CC. The rest of the staff are always out in company trucks servicing our system and I can't risk the liability.
