DC City Council Votes to Allow Physician-Assisted Suicide. That’ll Change Us All, for the Worse.
But no man is an island. Allowing doctors to prescribe deadly drugs to assist in the suicides of their patients is not simply a one-off interaction between two consenting adults. Changing the laws that govern how doctors operate will change the entire ecosystem of medicine. It’ll change how doctors relate to their patients and how much patients can trust their doctors.
It's already happening in the VA. My friend Heather is perfectly able to have sustained life with proper nutrition, and fluids. But here is what is happening to her.
Very sick in need of Prayer
They are literally assisting in her death. Every time she goes to the VA hospital, they act as though they have never seen here and repeat tests that she has already had, such as why the j-tube does not work for her. If any of you are connected to the VA, is there something you could do? She is a veteran herself along with her husband. She has lost 20+ lbs in about 8 days, because she is not getting the food that her body needs to fight the infection and to sustain her life. I'm afraid that if this keeps up, it will only be a matter of time before she will be gone, and WATCH OUT when that happens! Lawsuits galore! This is what government health insurance is all about, and what people that were called fear mongers while they were trying to pass this, warned us about!
