Orwellian indeed! Police State anyone? Maybe in Chicago to route out the gangs, but maybe it's best they state there and not come here!

Can we say 4th amendment?

If this was April 1st I would think this was a joke. There is no one who studied 5th grade level government who does not know this would be the most unconstitutional law ever passed.

You simply cannot do this, and there is no court no matter how liberal who would even think about attempting to uphold this.

I am still not convince this isn't a joke. It is just too ridiculous not to be. Everybody knows you can't do this. And when I say 5th grade I am serious, I could have told you when I was 10 you can't do this.

The problem is that they don't teach the Constitution in schools anymore. Instead they teach socialist ideals about how owning stuff is bad. My kids don't even have a high school civics class anymore and they attend(ed) a mostly conservative high school. The only socialist liberal was one of the English teachers and she didn't last long.

When I graduated the 8th grade (back when Gerald Ford was President) we had to pass "The Constitution Test" as it was called. If we failed we could still graduate from 8th grade, but we were not permitted to enter high school.

And this was something we focused on throughout the year because we knew it was coming.

Same here when Nixon was in office. We had to memorize the preamble to the US Constitution along with a multiple page test and I even lived in Kalifornia at that time.

When I was in 9th grade, in the late '80s, for Civics class we had to pass the full citizenship test, which centered mostly around the Constitution. We also had to memorize the Preamble and the Bill of Rights. It's amazing how much things have changed in so relatively short a time period.
