Yes, but in the Walking Dead they said a few times "you should have seen what it was like...", now we get to see.

I also think it can be interesting, if done well, to watch the world at this point knowing what is coming.

It's a lot like "Better Call Saul", it could be really good or really bad. I thought BCS was pretty good.

Which is pretty much by design. They want you to see what was happening to the rest of the world while Rick was in the coma. I'm still waiting to see how the character development plays out. That's what really draws me into any TV show.

To be honest, I've never seen an AMC show I didn't like, so my hopes are high. We'll see.

I get all that. My point that it is the same basic show no matter what they do and was a response to Dutz's earlier comment that if they don't move slower they are just remaking the same basic show.

By slow I meant if they moved fast enough that everybody knows what's happening and they start killing zombies to live then it is no different. Watching society develop and people's comprehension evolving would be different.

I get both points. I doubt they would run parallel shows with different characters. I would be surprised if this isn't a one season show. If anyone survives, then it becomes redundant.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if one or two characters from this show end up on the other at some point. They're tricky like that.

They already have a 15 episode second season. As long as they stay in the city it should be interesting.
