I went to Madison last weekend for the annual Rutabaga sponsored Canoecopia event.
They had anything/everything around kayaking/canoeing/kayak fishing you could think of. They also have vendors showing off a lot of survival gear, too.
On a whim, I picked up a portable sail for my small kayak, that could be fun with a steady wind, and a contraption that I'll mount on my boat that will let me slide my anchor to bow/stern depending on my facing direction and wind direction. Pretty neat!
Anyone interested in this type of recreation should try and make it next year.
