Well, I don't go buy 30 boxes at a time but if I am at a store that has a sale, I my pick up a couple of boxes. I do shoot it so really a few boxes here and there are not bad. That's why I still have 6k in .22 ammo. I would just buy it on sale and then shoot the older stuff. When our local store would have it on sale, I would buy another brick or two. Now that it is not really available, I know that I have some to shoot. Major hoarding and paranoia is crazy. I was talking to the Manager of a local store here and when he finds someone that is hoarding it he will refuse to sell him more ammo. He did tell me that he found one guy that was buying the bricks at 19.97 at his store and then selling it at a gun show for 40 and another guy that keeps calling looking for more but the guy already has 600k rnds of .22 ammo. He refuses to sell either of them any more ammo.
