Here in WV your CCW permit does that. The logic that they used to get it passed was "Since you already had to go through the check to get the permit, why make you go through it every time you buy a firearm?"

@Believe, my waiting period is usually 5-10 minutes. What is the period in Illinois? I'm assuming it would be days there. No, I'm not trying to be a smarty pants. I honestly don't know.
