They make an adjustable front site. 45 bucks it has a little screw in it and you can rise and for the front site. I have it, it was one of the best investments I made in the mosin. But when it comes to Bristol some rules are not the most convenient. But with a bolt action you can still work a lot if fundementals. I go shooting every weekend at Bristol. I couldn't do that at mcmillers. I figure practice makes perfect. Btw there is a range at bass pro shop as well
