I agree, that the right firearm is paramount. It's like using a ball-pein hammer to drive nails. Although a hammer is not a very good comparison to a concealed weapon. I would add to that (constant) training. Not a good idea to just get your CCW and throw together something without any thought. That is plain reckless with bad luck heading in your direction.
