This was a Glock 42, according to more detailed reports. It is a poor choice for 'purse' handgun. I am of the opinion that if the weapon is not going to be properly holstered, it should have a manual safety. Small children can always grab something they shouldn't, and they are fast. A few years ago in New Mexico a police officer was shot in the foot by a 3 y/o who ran up to his side and wrapped his arms around his leg. Evidently when she opened her purse and reached for her wallet, the kid grabbed the gun and discharged it.
Tragedy, is all one can say. What does RedDotArms recommend for women in such a situation? Besides not allowing the kid to grab the weapon?
