Good story. One thing I'd like to see less of is the inherent tendency to have to specify "legally owned" all the time. I guess they feel it is necessary, but I was somewhat amused they chose to say this: "It was only the presence of a legally-carried handgun that enabled the husband to defend himself and his wife from this gang of human predators." Hmmm...and an illegal gun wouldn't have? Semantics I guess. Just wonderin'. Also, a good can of pepper spray might have done the trick? Armchair quarterbacking I suppose. Hopefully a lesson taught to those criminals. Thanks for posting.
