I like the old ammo boxes too. I'm not sure why companies don't do this anymore. They do spend a lot of time and money on packaging. I used to work for the company that makes Swingline staplers (well, buys from China now) and the old packaging on those were pretty cool. Some of the designers had a small collection of old boxes. They did a retro packaging on a couple of items but I don't think it any thing but make the designers happy.
