Given a recent story here of a cop needing 33 rounds to score a hit on a suspect, I do feel 9mm is probably a better choice for law enforcement. What if the officer had two bad guys? As to the .40S&W it is snappy in smaller handguns. I've not noticed it as much in full sized handgun. I think the caliber has merit for law enforcement. As does .45ACP. I really don't think you can go too wrong with any of these calibers.
