Like I said in the "Is .40S&W dead?" thread, this is the wussification of the FBI. It started with whining about the 10mm so they modded it to the .40S&W. Now, they whine about the .40S&W. To Dutz's point, I know current and former LEOs whose first issued caliber was the .357 Magnum. The whiners would never have made it back then because the standard issue FBI side arm was the S&W model 27 snubby, which kicks a lot harder than a .40S&W or a .45 ACP. I know, I've fired one. To cover for their agents, the FBI released supposed data that contradicts real world experience. To paraphrase the late great Bruce Lee, "Paper don't shoot back."
