Toward the end of the "Walking Dead" Sunday night Carol was on the ground about to be shot by a bad guy. He was about 6'2" and looked 220+ lbs. Morgan confronted him with a CZ 82, 9 MM. The guy wouldn't back down so Morgan shot him....again...and again...and again...and again...finally he goes down.
Even the Hollywood guys know a 15 round mag isn't worth much when you have to unload 5 rounds to get the effect of one of Rick's Python .357 Magnums or a 1911 .45 (and BTW, I own both a 1911 and Colt Python).
And oh yeah, the 1911 I have is the Springfield TRP, the production version of the one commissioned by the FBI. So apparently the article is a little more "do as I say" and a little less "do as I do".
And one more oh yeah. Why did the FBI chose the 1911 TRP? Because if accuracy is the most important thing, then 15 rounds vs. 7 has no meaning, and the TRP might be the most accurate gun out there. I have shot/tested well over 3 dozen different guns in my various searches and when it comes to accuracy I always end up back to my TRP because it is by far, and I mean by really far, the most accurate.
