So I went to the range at Basspro in Gurnee yesterday I learn something about the policy they have for CCW holders. As a CCW holder I would always put my firearm in my bag so Basspro could lock it down at the front desk and I can carry it through the store up to the range. Up at the range the range master would unlock the firearm and I was good to go.
What I learned yesterday and being CCW holder that isn't required. All you need to do is check in at the front desk. If you are carrying just notify the front desk and they will require a FOID and CCW cards. If you bring multiple firearms in a range bag they will still need to be lock down but the conceal carry firearm won't need to be locked.
