1. Your paranoia about people knowing you have a gun, will often give away that fact that you have a gun. Nobody knows, relax.
2. Your firearm is a LAST resort. Don't be a hero, in most cases, be a good witness, use your phone instead of your gun. You will know the proper time when you need to draw.
3. Get concealed carry insurance, incase you do have to use it, you WILL be taken to court civilly.
One extra - 4. just because Illinois has more training standards than the rest of the U.S. does not mean we are all trained enough to carry a gun. keep up with your range time and seek as much training as you can (like Mike said).
