Okay, I finally got to do some target shooting with this bad boy. I only got to put around 100 rounds down range thanks to a sudden downpour, which also destroyed my paper targets so sadly no pictures to accompany this post. I was using Wolf WPA 124gr steel cased bi-metal jacketed hollow points. I love theses rounds. They make good varmint rounds as well as decent range rounds. All shooting was done from about the 100 yd mark. The largest group was fired right before the rain started and the wind had picked up. The 7.62x39mm round can be noticeably effected by wind so keep that in mind. This 5 round group came in at just over 3". The smallest grouping came in at 1.75", which is pretty good for what is basically an off the rack AK. My average groupings were in the 2.25"-2.5" range. This isn't bad for an AK rifle with a chrome lined barrel. The C39v2, with it's 4140 nitrided barrel is even more accurate than the C39v1 I have. The RAS47 with a 4150 nitrided barrel is more accurate still. With more American makers, such as DDI and Definitive Arms, getting into the AK game with mass produced rifles, using similar barrels to the v2 and RAS47, good things are on the way for the American AK buyer for sure.
