I Like the Mossberg line for home defense over the Remington (or any other brand for that matter). Mossberg uses dual extractors in their guns, which provide very reliable extraction... in the event that one fails, there is an alternate. The Remingtons have a single extractor, so if you have an extractor failure, you now have to clear the malfunction. plus, the Mossbergs are really affordable and better looking, imo.
