The first handgun I fired, besides a .22LR, was my grandfather's S&W Model 27 .357 Magnum. He started me with .38 Special rounds and by the time we were done that day I was hitting center mass with .357 magnum rounds. This is when I was 9 or 10, btw. My step-father also had a .357 but his was an old Ruger that he bought off a retired Pennsylvania state trooper complete with the PA state police markings. Later on for my 18th birthday my grandfather bought me a S&W Model 66. He loved his S&W revolvers and told me that I should always own one if nothing else. I wish I still had that revolver but finances forced me to sell it a number of years ago.
