Mike- thanks for the info on Richmond, I checked the site and I don't think that is quite what I'm looking for.
Where I grew up, we had these 'fish and game' clubs that you could join that owned/leased out some private land where the members could hunt and fish. It wasn't so much a business, it was more like a group of people that would obviously hunt/fish, but they would also hang out and talk trash about the big one that got away, or the monster bass that almost tipped the boat over. I'm looking for something like that....does that exist out in these parts?
