I live a few miles from Shore. They've been in business for ever, at one time they were a competitor of my family's old business in pre 1968 days and continued to be with long arms until my family sold the Biz and Chiraq banned sales of all guns. Shore used to be a good shop but now very dependent on bordering police business. Last time I stopped in, they had very little inventory. I asked the owner why and was told they were planning on moving. He wouldn't divulge any other info. There were rumors Shore planned on opening a range in Niles, after a battle with Niles "Mom's", property was rezoned somewhere on Oakton Ave. for a group of people who wanted to open a range. I haven't heard anything further for about a year. The name of the people were not in the news, nor have I heard anything more.
I agree on the service being terrible. I support Brick and Mortar businesses as much as I can. I hate catalog and Big Box shopping, however I expect friendly, willing and good service which no longer is available at Shore.
