My favorite semi-auto is also the one I've had the longest, HK USP in .40S&W. There's just something about that weapon that calls my name. Other than not having a grip safety, its manual of operation isn't much different from the tried and true 1911, including the same style thumb safety and slide release lever. Its mag release is a little different but in the same general location.
