lee load all conversion kit - fromtheplaines - 01-10-2015 I am looking at the 16 gauge converter. It's about half the price. Is it worth it? The only video I could find us in Russian. The lead and powder will be the same. But unwanted to get an opinion on it RE: lee load all conversion kit - Ammo Lynn - 01-10-2015 Converter for what?, a MEC Press? It depends on how much you load. The conversion takes about 15 min worst case to do, so its not a big deal but the wrenching on the deprime station is a pain. If you have a Grabber is a bit longer but a bit easier because of the collet resize system. The alternative is a Lee Load II dedicated to 16 GA. The presses are $55 and change, hard to beat.. RE: lee load all conversion kit - fromtheplaines - 01-10-2015 Yea it is for lee. The converter is 20 bucks, and the standard press us 55. So that US a real possibility as well RE: lee load all conversion kit - Ammo Lynn - 01-10-2015 For me, I would just get another press, then you can make 12 or 16 without affecting the other setup. You may likely have to change powders, and certainly bushings so a dedicated press would save you a bunch of time. |
