What light on a AR? - Rodney - 06-22-2014 What light do you have on your AR? ![]() Sorry, wrong section. Mod please move. RE: What light on a AR? - mikereddot - 06-22-2014 Mine is plain Jane. No lights - No optics. RE: What light on a AR? - RJDSRT - 06-22-2014 I have an Inforce APL made for pistols. It has a great output and is nice and slim profile. It will also fit on any standard quad rail on yoir rifle. Give Inforce a look. They also make rifle dedicated light. RE: What light on a AR? - BelieveIn308 - 07-02-2014 Lights? Nah, I don't want to be the target. Lights attract fire. Why negate home field advantage? I have an EOTech 522 and Vortex magnifier (3x) on mine. RE: What light on a AR? - RJDSRT - 07-02-2014 I guess I would like to know Im not shooting a family member in the middle of the night in a sleepy daze. Helps to see the target thats just me
RE: What light on a AR? - mikereddot - 07-02-2014 yeah, but he lives alone. Make it easier. In my case, i'd be hoping that my wife would be in our safe room. RE: What light on a AR? - RJDSRT - 07-02-2014 Id love to have an underground panic room! RE: What light on a AR? - RJDSRT - 07-02-2014 "be sure of your target and what is beyond it" comes to mind. to each their own, I suppose. RE: What light on a AR? - BelieveIn308 - 07-28-2014 Still, I can see a light on a handgun. But a rifle? Sorry, why do you need a light on a rifle? It's not good beyond say 30 feet, but it lights you up as a target for 2-300 yards. If you are interested in night fighting, a Thermal scope is best. In a house a light on a handgun could be useful. Save the rifle for daylight hours. RE: What light on a AR? - MrWill - 07-29-2014 No lights on mine, just a simple reflex sight. Don't use it for home defense though. As far as needing a light for home defense, I feel perfectly content with using a light switch. They would have already triggered the motion lights as well. |
