I was looking to upgrade my aks sights. I was thinking about a krebs ghost sight. But I was thinking also perhaps a red dot site. But haven't had any experience with them

It would be most likely removing the rear site. I hear the ones mounted on the dust cover gave a tendency of bumping all over the place when you shoot

Right, they will not hold zeroed on the cover mount. Which Red Dot are you looking at?

I have no idea haven't had one before. I am looking at around 100 150. I am just worried since it's a under folder the sight may be to high

The bushnell TRS-25's are a decent red dot at a great price, and very slick looking.

I think.in the end I am going to go with tech sites. I have heard a lot if good things about them. And it seems to cover all if the bases. I like the idea if the red dot. But with the under folder you are already low on the gun as it US. I would worry the site may sit to high
