Gas below $3 - AcilletaM - 10-19-2014 I saw gas at the PDQ on Hwy 50 in Kenosha for $2.99. I didn't think we would see gas below $3 again. RE: Gas below $3 - Ringo3632 - 10-19-2014 I'm super excited about this... almost worth driving there just to say I filled up for less than $3 a gallon.. haha RE: Gas below $3 - Rodney - 10-19-2014 I have been seeing it drop also. Since I live near the IL/WI border, I drive into WI for my gas. It's normally .20 cheaper per gallon in WI. RE: Gas below $3 - BelieveIn308 - 10-19-2014 Hmmm... Illinois Tax is only 7 cents higher. RE: Gas below $3 - AcilletaM - 10-19-2014 I usually get gas in WI too. Almost always worth it. RE: Gas below $3 - jfergus7 - 10-20-2014 I hope it stays that way for awhile! Will be back up at my cottage later this week so hope I can make it on what I have till then! RE: Gas below $3 - Mike25 - 10-20-2014 $25.00 got me just over 1/2 tank today in my jeep. Had to admit put a smile on my face RE: Gas below $3 - mikereddot - 10-20-2014 Filled my old Durango yesterday. Still cost me $71. Gas was under a buck 50 when I first bought it
RE: Gas below $3 - AcilletaM - 10-20-2014 Just filled my truck for a smidge over $60. BTW, a couple of stations in Grayslake are at $3.02 and the Marathon on 45 & Washington has a cash price of $2.97. RE: Gas below $3 - Brian S - 10-21-2014 I was in Kenosha last week paid cash $2.99 at Woodmans. I wouldn't be surprised if it's lower now. RE: Gas below $3 - jfergus7 - 10-21-2014 Hope prices stay low for another day or two. Down in Buffalo Grove but gonna head up to my cottage either tomorrow or Thursday and think I can time my fuel for a full tank fill up across the boarder. You shouldn't have problem finding gas at $3 or less. From what I've been hearing gas may still go down further unless production is cut down. I live in Chicago on the far NW side, I usually drive to Lake or DuPage County to buy gas, it's usually .50 a gallon less than in Chicago, At least once a month I'm at my brothers place in Kenosha and do my grocery shopping up there, gas is usually a buck a gallon less at Woodmans than here. Unless it's for a cup of coffee, I never shop in Chicago. I won't give Chicago my taxes. I try to buy anything I can out of Cook County too.
RE: Gas below $3 - AcilletaM - 10-21-2014 There is an app called Gasbuddy that I use. It comes in iPhone, Blackberry, and Android flavors. I install when needed and then uninstall. It's definitely a good app to use...very accurate. |
