University of Texas Professors Sue Over Concealed Guns Allowed in Their Classrooms
Three professors are fighting a Texas law that allows students to carry concealed handguns in their college classrooms.
Senate Bill 11, allowing concealed handgun license holders 21 and older (or 18 if active military) to carry in campus buildings, was signed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, in June 2015. The law went into effect Aug. 1 this year.
Lawyers for Jennifer Lynn Glass, Lisa Moore, and Mia Carter, all professors at the University of Texas at Austin, made their case to a federal judge last week.
The professors requested a preliminary injunction to block the new campus carry law and had filed suit on July 6 against the attorney general of Texas, Ken Paxton; the president of the University of Texas at Austin, Gregory Fenves; and members of the University of Texas Board of Regents.
Recognizing that these are soft targets now...

Its a sad fact the so many college professors are left wing liberal weenies. However as a college professor myself I have to say not all of us are like this. Its true that just cos your educated doesn't mean you're not dumb.

These teachers are mentally unstable. AS proof, I offer their FEAR of inanimate objects, which is a defined mental illness. I'd feel much safer with people carrying around me. How many shooting have been done by NRA members? Concealed Carry Permit holders? Republicans? Sorry, but 97% of all mass shooters are Democrats. 84% of all gun crime is committed by Democrats. We have a Democrat problem.

For college professors they show a complete lack of any logical thought. How did they know people were not carrying before CCW? those are the people who you should be worried about now lawful CCW. How would they feel about police in their lectures? As stated elsewhere on this forum CCW people are even more law abiding than the police by almost 7-fold.
