Our Prepper group has begun 'Winter training' every year. We stay outside for 3 full days camping. We have learned plenty from these little retreats. Everything from stuffing down a 1000 calories before going to sleep, to better gear of all kinds. We've learned that WOOL is best. We have learned little things like insulating soles in boots work wonders. And that you must stay dry!!! But you raise a great point for preppers, on weather.
