Since it would be a Federal law change, it should Null the Illinois crap laws regarding suppressors. or your can contact your local rep and have them push on HB0433. This would be a great first step. http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocNum=433&GAID=13&DocTypeID=HB&SessionID=88&GA=99 RE: Appeal to take suppressors off the NFA - bradberry - 10-27-2015 That would be nice. We can have them here in Oregon but you have to go through the Fed's process. Removing that process gets a thumbs up! RE: Appeal to take suppressors off the NFA - machinist91 - 10-27-2015 If this passes it will make business so much easier for us FFL holders to get to the customers instead of waiting for 6 to 9 months for tax stamp to be approved. Federal laws will change if it passes so the state laws and hunting regulations would be the only worry then. The tax stamp is what stops alot of people from buy a silencer. I have had alot of customers come to me wanting to buy one and not the read the rules and the decide not to. But I hope it passes so I can get rid of the high annual renewal fee for my class III dealer license. Sent from my SM-G800R4 using Tapatalk |
