I am sure gun production is ramped up do to Americans seeing that the current state of the economy is unsustainable. They realize what will happen when the economic collapse starts. They also recognize that it will be far better to be armed, hence gun sales that are at all time highs. Let the socialist big government types depend upon government, that is not the American way for most of us. We value Freedom and Liberty. We don't feel the need to have big government. This FEAR of what the democrats have done to America is what is driving gun sales, and will continue to do so. The Constitution is our guide, not the likes of Obama.

with slower than ever ammo production what is the point?
yes, now more guns are being bought but a gun without ammo is essentially a stick.

I dunno, all ammo besides 22LR seems to be plentiful, but at higher prices than a few years ago. There is plenty on most big box store shelves, gun stores seem well stocked, and the local Walmart has quite a large stock of most ammunition. I am sure that if there is a run on guns like there was after 'Sandyhook' ammo and magazines will disappear as well.

I recommend stocking up for the long term. Better to be safe than sorry. Think of it as an investment in Liberty and Freedom!

As my wife and I always do. Almost every time we go to a store that has ammo, I buy two boxes of ammo. It does not matter the caliber,(as long as its one I have of course) but just buy two boxes. Same with shotgun ammo. Over time you will sit back and marvel at how much you have acquired. I will be going to Wal-Mart tonight after work then a quick run to our local BiMart.

Yeah, I always take a peek at the ammo section. I tend to stockpile way more rifle ammo, and try to limit pistol ammo 2000 rds and what I use at the range. Still, if I see a great price on Hollow Points, I always buy a box or two.
