Crappy State.....Crappy Water - bradberry - 05-24-2015 Well the Governor wants his crappy water...I say let them eat the $HIT that goes with it! http://joeforamerica.com/2015/05/let-drink-crap-californias-governor-thinks-youll-like/ RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - rwhite135 - 05-24-2015 I don't see the big deal with recycling water. I grew up in Pittsburgh and the tap water there is a combination of recycled waste water and purified river water. A lot of major cities use that method. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - bradberry - 05-24-2015 I guess I just have one of the best waters in the US. Great PH and on the soft side. Great source and we have an abundance of it. Might get a little low this year but I am not worried. I have lived in SoCal and the water (mostly well water) taste YUCKY. NO need for recycle water here. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - Dutz - 05-25-2015 Sometimes Gov. Moonbeam loses contact with the mother ship. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - BelieveIn308 - 05-26-2015 At times I think the aliens use Earth as an insane asylum for their worlds... California is so full of parasitic types, if you work you should flee. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - Dutz - 05-26-2015 One of my favorite Leno jokes. "They passed a tax on the rich to pay for mental health services. This makes sense since if you are rich and still live in California you are in need of mental health services." RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - bradberry - 05-26-2015 You just need to be a wealthy liberal and mentally insane to live there. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - Brian S - 05-26-2015 I live in Northwest Chiraq and have to say the city tap water is the best tasting I've ever had in any other city I've been to. Then again over 1800 people are on the Water Dept. payroll... RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - rwhite135 - 05-26-2015 I think the craziest tax I've ever heard of still belongs to Maryland. If you own your home, or a business in a building by itself, you have to pay a rain tax. What's a rain tax? They take the square footage of your roof and based on a payment scale and the amount of rainfall for the year calculate how much you owe for blocking rainfall from directly reaching the ground. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - Brian S - 05-26-2015 Chiraq has a 5ยข tax on bottled water. Regardless of size a case of small bottles costs an extra nickel, one separate small bottle is an extra nickel a 5 gallon bottle is an extra nickel....etc. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - mikereddot - 05-26-2015 (05-26-2015, 12:34 PM)rwhite135 Wrote: I think the craziest tax I've ever heard of still belongs to Maryland. DO you get to collect the water? IF not, who cares then. Roofs in Chicago do not absorb the water. Crappy State.....Crappy Water - Brian S - 05-26-2015 I bet there's some roofs in Chicago that do absorb water...Slumlords. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - rwhite135 - 05-26-2015 It's not about water soaking into the roof just your roof being in the way of the ground. It doesn't matter that the rain runs off the roof or not. They try to say it's for the good of the Chesapeake water table. I'm glad I don't live in Maryland. It's funny watching the local news sometimes, we get the DC stations where I live in WV, and seeing some of the stupid laws those people propose or pass. I was trying to make a point, the water all makes it's way in the ground...regardless if it hits a roof first or not. RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - rwhite135 - 05-26-2015 I was trying to point out the ridiculousness of their reasoning. ;) RE: Crappy State.....Crappy Water - mikereddot - 05-26-2015 I think we're on the same page. |
