I am amazed how, over the past several decades, "educators" have trashed and rewritten the rich history of the American Experiment, which in total, has been nothing short of a secular miracle in the governance of a people. Equally as puzzling, I have seen no pushback for a return to teaching the Truth.

I am also amazed that so many gave up their only true possession in that war, their lives, with the intent of preserving their freedom and their liberty. Yet so many today are more than willing to give away wholesale those twin commodities at the altar of Big Government, abdicating their ability to make choices about their lives for themselves. Do they realize that once these rights are taken from us they will never be returned?

Today, at 2:15PM CDT, bells across the nation are supposed to ring for four minutes, one minute for each year of the war, commemorating the end of hostilities. I wonder if we will hear any of these bells of remembrance ringing in the communities of Lake county?
