A Remembrance: The Rick Santelli Tea Party Rant, Six-Years Old - StJude - 02-21-2015 This post has nothing to do with guns, really, but I thought it deserved to be mentioned... It's already been six years since CNBC financial reporter Rick Santelli launched into his tirade against Big Government during one of his on-air reports. I remember the day, I remember the rant. Despite what a number of bloviating, hot-air bag, talk show hosts take credit for doing, it was Santelli who, at the time he was speaking, gave birth to what was to become the Tea Party: individuals who wanted to save their country and their Liberty.
