If they think it is about safety, then they don't know much about safety. I carry in Chilli's and it is perfectly safe there. They should call Chilli's and ask them how they do it.

Good question Dutz.

A current member in good standing with the club must sponsor any new associate members. Associate members are new members with less then 100 hours of service. The sponsor member and the new associate member must attend a signup meeting at the same time and complete a safety walk. A safety walk normally takes about 1 1/2 hours.

My guess its the same range. Best way to get a sponsor is attend a board meeting that occurs once a month and ask the board for a list of available work hours. Contact the person running the match, work a couple of matches and ask the person running the match if they would sponsor you. The list of matches looking for workers for 2015 should be coming out soon. I think the next board meeting is in March.

You will need to fill out an application 2 weeks before the meeting and mail/email it into the club.

It varies. In my case being a vet, it's $200 / year. Non vet are higher.
